Out of the Common First Year Deanship keenness and belief in the significance of students' assistance, insight and awareness, the Student Counselling and Guidance Unit was established with academic, psychological and social dimensions. A number of guiding programs and activities have been developed that reflect the vision, mission and objectives of the Common First Year's Deanship. The mission of the Student Counselling and Guidance Unit is to create an educational environment supportive to the students’ positive behavior to enable them adapt, comply and integrate positively into the programs and events conducted in the deanship. The unit provides them with help to overcome their academic, psychological and social problems in order to improve their performance and achieve the expected academic accomplishment. It should be noted that the Student Counselling and Guidance Unit is characterized by a number of specialized mentors to assist students to overcome the academic, psychological and social difficulties and challenges in the university environment and to address the inappropriate behaviors within the university context. In addition, the unit is concerned with students' health, and provides appropriate services to students with disabilities. The unit is also interested in organizing exhibitions and induction lectures at university colleges to guide students professionally and connects them with the labor market. In conclusion, I wish you more creativity, excellence and success. May Allah protect you.
