About Unit

The Teaching and Learning Excellence Unit at the Common First Year Deanship comes as an extension of the university's efforts to support the professional development of faculty members. This is achieved by providing specialized programs and academic support that enrich teaching practices and enhance the faculty members’ ability to deliver a renewed and impactful educational experience.

The unit is keen to be an incubator for innovation and an effective tool in improving the quality of learning of the Common First Year Deanship students, in line with the goals of institutional excellence and the Kingdom's ambitious Vision.

Unit Objectives:

•    Enhance excellence skills of the faculty members in the educational process.
•    Contribute to developing the level of educational practices of the faculty members.
•    Improve the quality of the educational process.
•    Employ e-learning technologies to excel in teaching strategies.

Unit Duties:

•    Provide electronic content for faculty members.
•    Propose educational policies and programs within the deanship based on data-driven evidence.
•    Follow up on preparing programs that technically enhance and support faculty members based on identifying their needs.
•    Improve educational-learning practices and modern technologies within the deanship in a way that contributes to the quality of learning outcomes.
•    Encourage and support excellence initiatives in teaching and learning within the deanship.
